How to Defeat The Lamb in Binding Of Isaac Rebirth
The Lamb is one of the final bosses in Binding Of Isaac Rebirth, a randomly generated action RPG shooter with heavy Rogue-like elements. The Lamb can only be encountered in The Dark Room, which requires The Negative to access. The Negative is a special item that can be obtained by defeating Satan in Sheol five times and then defeating Mom while holding it. The Lamb is a challenging boss that has two phases and multiple attacks. Here are some tips and strategies on how to defeat The Lamb and unlock new endings and achievements.
Phase 1
In the first phase, The Lamb floats towards the player and performs various attacks. Some of these attacks are:
Firing 2-4 lines of homing projectiles in a spread that rotate to follow the player's movements.
Unleashing a burst of many small explosive projectiles in random directions.
Firing 6 rings of 10 projectiles outwards with one projectile always aimed at the player's direction.
Shooting rotating waves of 3 projectiles around itself in all directions that split apart once they make contact with any surface, similar to The Parasite.
Firing 5 rotating lines of projectiles.
Shooting rotating waves of 4 Brimstone beams in the cardinal directions. The beams can rotate 90 degrees either clockwise or counterclockwise.
Firing a large burst of homing projectiles towards the player, similar to the combination of Monstro's Lung and Spoon Bender.
The Lamb also occasionally spawns 0-3 Attack Flies during any of these attacks. To avoid taking damage, the player should keep moving and dodging the projectiles, especially the homing ones. The player should also try to destroy the Attack Flies before they get too close. The player should focus on damaging The Lamb as much as possible while avoiding its attacks. Once The Lamb reaches 50% HP, it will transition to the second phase.
Phase 2
In the second phase, The Lamb's body detaches from its head and falls to the ground. The head and the body will attack independently of each other. The head will continue to chase the player and perform most of the attacks from Phase 1, except for the explosive shot attack and spawning Attack Flies. It will also gain three additional attacks:
Charging extremely quickly directly towards the player, stopping at the edge of the room.
Stopping in place and firing four Brimstone beams in the cardinal directions. The beams can rotate 90 degrees either clockwise or counterclockwise.
Firing a large burst of homing projectiles towards the player, similar to the combination of Monstro's Lung and Spoon Bender.
The body will remain stationary at the position where it fell and perform one attack at random intervals:
Firing a large burst of disorganized projectiles in all directions and spawning up to 5 Attack Flies.
If the head is defeated first, the body will spawn up to 25 Attack Flies. If the body is defeated first, a Curse of Darkness effect will be applied for a long period of time. To avoid taking damage, the player should keep moving and dodging both parts of The Lamb, especially when they fire Brimstone beams or homing projectiles. The player should also try to destroy the Attack Flies before they get too close. The player should focus on damaging both parts of The Lamb equally, as defeating one part will not end the fight. Once both parts are defeated, a Final Boss Chest will appear that will trigger Ending 15 . Alternatively, there is a 20% chance that a Gateway to The Void will appear instead, which leads to another final boss: Delirium .
Conclusion
The Lamb is a tough boss that requires skill and patience to defeat. However, by following these tips and strategies, the player can overcome this challenge and unlock new endings and achievements. The Lamb is also one of Delirium's possible forms, so defeating it will also help prepare for that fight. Good luck! ec8f644aee
